the holdster set

The original idea was to develop some accessories for the Rig so that customers could keep the worktop clear. As we were playing with some design ideas we realised that a holdster set that could work with almost any rail system or, as a stand-alone all-purpose holdster, could work for any kitchen.

My own experience of cooking is that work surfaces quickly become cluttered and I end up working in a smaller and smaller space. The accumulation of the cooking wine bottle, the bottle of extra virgin olive oil, the utensil holder, the salt pig, the chopping board and soon I end up moving operations into the kitchen sink.

A solution using the vertical spaces seemed obvious.

The holdster will accept most sizes of bottle, and the customers have really appreciated the utensil container add on. This has allowed many of them to replace the ugly old jar on the countertop into which they used to stuff their wooden spoons and ladles!

For the cook who frequently uses wine this is a stylish and practical way of keeping your wine (or olive oil) close to hand where you work. And it works in any style of kitchen, from the Aga country look to stainless steel minimilism.

The two small spice tray are easily removable. Salt and cloves of garlic seem to be a popular use. Someone told us they've installed a holdster in their bathroom and have bath salts in the trays, toothbrushes in the utensil container.
